Mrs Kibble's Olde Sweet Shoppe
we were walking down Oxford Street and about to pop into a H&M store, when JG spotted a small alley which seemed pretty busy and thought it might be fun to check it out. it led to a small piazza with cafes and pubs, as well as a few interesting shops.
but, the most interesting one was, in my opinion, Mrs Kibble's Olde Sweet Shoppe. it was so quaint and old-fashioned, that it brought back childhood fantasies and memories of reading Roald Dahl's Boy. there were jars filled with candy lining the display window and the shelves inside. candy named sherbert dib dabs, palma violets, highland toffees, rainbow drops, etc.
i had such a hard time choosing what i wanted that i gave up and walked out of the shop. but we popped back in again in 5 min. i settled on old-fashioned golden humbugs, and left JG to pay it and his rhubarb with custard candy while i went out to snap a few quick pictures.

oh, by the way, cutty saks has got 1 of these old skool candy shop too in 1 of the alleys. it's nearer ur place rite? ;)

hm..if all of us go over at the same time, how to all bunk over at ur place? sorrie..im super cheapo n JG offered a space..but sobs... U my fren for so long, wanted to offer me the balcony space only :(
it's still kinda cold in May to be sleeping in the open ya know..
yea, i think there were a couple of these candy shops there. have fun and check out the fudges too. those blocks of fudge. GET FAT!!! WOOHOO
