a cultural mish-mash of food
Swedish meatballs, Diam pie and princess cake
JG looking mighty pleased with our 2nd round of Ikea food that we got free for filling up a survey.
Swedish meatballs and Diam pie again! with fruit salads and a lemon cheesecake
2) Woo Jung - 26th Sept (Fri)
Appetizers (clockwise from top left): pickled beansprouts, seafood omelette, a-korn (at least that's what the waiter said when we asked him what the soft gelatinous stuff was, he offered no further explanations and we decided not to probe. it was delicious though! marinated with a sweetish, sourish sauce) and kimchi
Half finished appetizers with kimchi beef soup and bibimbap!
JG digging in
3) Home-cooked braised pork belly with mushrooms and dried scallops
The result of a whole Sat night's worth of simmering slowly over low heat: tender melt-in-your-mouth meat and juicy mushrooms infused with rich stock
We had this for Sunday dinner with plain rice after getting back from church and it was such a delight to tuck into after a day of anticipation
4) Chicken tikka masala dinner
Chicekn tikka masala with a side of broccoli
JG and naan
