born is the king of israel

it's christmas eve today! can't really feel christmas in the air. perhaps coz i haven't been down to town in the past 2 days. seems like most of the christmas spirit in s'pore is concentrated on the streets of orchard where they currently have set ups for the nativity scene with live props consisting of the shepherds, 3 wise men, etc. it was pretty thrilling to walk down that stretch on mon. a little bubble of joy welled up in my chest to hear strains of familiar carols, see the scene of baby jesus in a crib, look at all the lights and decorations and soak in the general atmosphere. like your five senses are just saturated with the anticipation of the upcoming festive season. i loved it!

looking forward to a turkey dinner tmw. heh. that's a big part of christmas for my family. the turkey! yeah. anticipating the christmas services too. regretfully missed new creation's performance in orchard. but i'm sure yw will update me on wat i missed. heh. considering attending the city harvest christmas service tmw because they always have excellent drama productions and also because my own church's christmas service is on sunday. the drama production is considerably less polished than city harvest as the cast consists of pint sized actors, who tend to get distracted from their role and start saying silly things into the mike during their 5 mins of fame. yet it's always interesting to note how cuteness covers a multitude of mistakes. there is nothing they can do wrong. and nobody is ever disappointed. haha.

here's wishing everyone reading this and their families a blessed christmas coz u've all been a blessing to me! Feliz Navidad!
