neither borders nor kino
the shop consists of 2 outlets on different levels. and we were so indecisive that we visited both outlets twice. and we received similar 'hey! you're back again! i thought you girls had left.' greetings. shucks... so paiseh.
one factor that encouraged our malingering was the provision chairs on which we could sit and browse. these were very useful for clumsy oafs like me who kept dropping stuff due to the numerous books i was holding on to.
there were so many choices to make. but in the end i settled on these:

been looking for a bible commentary book to supplement my bible reading. imagine my disappointment when all i could find under the bible commentary section were encyclopedic volumes, each volume on one chapter of the bible. they were daunting! but i found this under the bible introduction section. heh. guess i'm not quite ready for theology studies yet.

excerpt from back cover:
'Are you low on love? Down to your last dose of forgiveness? Scraping the bottom of the barrel of patience?
How do you love someone who is hard to love? Our typical strategy is to try harder. Conventional wisdom says that a lack of love implies a lack of effort, so we dig deeper, strain more.'
a book based on 1 Corinthians 13 (the famous 'love is patient, love is kind...' paragraph)
the book to read when you don't know how to love...
and lastly, the one that got away...
the book that i didn't buy but was awfully tempted to. good solid dating advice complemented by lots of graphics and even quizzes (perfect for obssessive quiz-takers like yours truly). check out the Dateable site to get a feel of the book. there's an 'R U dateable?' quiz included. heh
okok, enough with the sniggering. i know the title's corny, but i just thought this would be a good read.
all in all... a fantastic day spent at a great bookshop for browsing coupled with great buys.
cranberry: we have to bring you one day! i'm gonna bring my mum there too. heh.
the rest of the day was spent at great world city where we met up with yi-ren, who left us guessing as to whether he drove down. thus resulting in us shuttle bus-ing it down to orch where we walked ard abit before going home for dinner.
