Jehovah Jireh - My Provider
"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."
Luke 6:38
was brushing my teeth this morning and wondering how much i should pledge to my church's mission faith pledge where the money goes to various missions projects in other countries. The pledge slips were to be collected today and i was kind of reluctant to pledge the initial amount that came to mind.
i thought to myself, 'but what about my grad trip? everyone's racking their brains for ideas on how to earn money and pple like shyn are juggling 4 jobs. if i'm not earning money, the least i should do is save... that way, i won't have to borrow so much from my parents'
my answer came 15 min later during breakfast. when out of the blue, my mum suddenly said 'oh ya, your dad and i discussed it and we decided that we'd sponsor your grad trip'
after initial protests from me about how the cost would come up to a pretty substantial amount, my mum closed the subject by saying 'your older sis got to go to london when she graduated. and your younger sis will get the same gift too' praise God for generous parents!
and yet, it was only during church service that it hit me how quickly He provided the solution to my dilemma. and it was by no coincidence that the preacher touched on the above verse. what a blessed sunday!
