queen for the day!
so says wl and mi BLest amiga...
had a nice cozy lunch with the couple of them, binn and shuhui at a certain establishment near sch. well... it was supposed to be lunch, until the waiter popped up to take our orders. he was hilarious! i tried ordering the black pepper steak and i got a 'tut tut' from him. after much coaxing and wheedling, he finally gave his honest opinion that the beef wasn't fresh, and that it was frozen next to the fish or something. when asked for his recommendations, he frankly said 'actually, everything here is not fresh lah'. in the end, we all changed our orders to coffee while binn gamely stuck to her set meal.
he came back later to clear the table and to ask binn how the food was. her reply was 'not bad', to which he straightened up with a satisfied smile sad said 'bad ah?' hahah. bad case of selective hearing. noticed him going ard asking for comments about the food and when comments like 'quite good' come, he gives a skeptical look that seems to say 'ha! you don't know any better'.
binn was convinced we were on gotcha! heh. to which mi BLest amiga started smiling in every direction in case there were hidden cameras. note: this is to make up for getting caught on ch 8's 'school belle' last nite in her specs. apparently i was on tv too. haha.
oh... faith deserves a special mention too. for buying me a cheese tart and ritter sport choc! heh. it must have been a definite feat for her to resist them on the way to sch. this girl is as much of a foodie as me, prob much more so! heh. thanks so much girl! the tart is currently in my fridge. will eat it for the floaty feeling later. *winkz*
thanks to binn, wl and jun too! for the pres and card. i love the card! binn's right, it's so me! heh. gonna watch the dvd as soon as i figure out how to connect the player to the tv. heh.
