spontaneous supper
received an sms from my b1 saying the two vons were on their way down to her house. i was immediately outraged. 'organise squad outing nvr call me!! how can???' after a flurry of smses, phone calls and msn conversations, we decided on meeting up for supper at Chomp Chomp.
the girls took their time in picking elaine up and coming down, coz 'J's such a slow driver, she's sure to come later than us'. ouch. but i got there first! ha! to add to the insult, b1 exclaimed 'haiyah! i shouldn't have worried abt being too lok-cok (shabbily dressed)', the moment they saw me. sigh! apparently hawaiian print shorts are too last-season. von t even asked me if that was what i wore to sleep.
we ended up at the nearby Coffee Bean. it took a while before we decided on what to order; we kept digressing, our usual squad style. it was like this 10 yrs ago, and it hasn't changed. jenn wasn't there to yell 'point of order' to bring us back to the main issue at hand. jing (aka b1) tried to take her place, but erroneously yelled 'point of focus' instead.
after finally deciding on our respective beverages, with a boston nut brownie and a Coffee Bean triple decker to share, we finally got down to the main purpose:gossiping catching up. i had a marvellous time, just crapping away, laughing loudly and basically making a general nuisance of ourselves. in the process, we've even devised our own subtle method of announcing if anyone of us is attached liao.
it wasn't until the crew switched off the lights, plunging us in semi-darkness that we realised it was time to leave. we made plans to meet up again this coming wk, there was a light hitch in making our plans though. coz J can't rem if she has plans this fri. (can someone tell me if i do? i vaguely rem making some plans)
to the rest of the squad: we miss u guys so much!! esp angie and lorr who're overseas. sigh!
