the place to be...
or so the promotional banner for the ACS(B) funfair claimed
went with qy today as he wanted to use up his coupons. was hoping to see yw there, but unfortunately the guy's too busy with work. ended up running into my younger cousin, alvin instead, who warned me against trying to hook up with the cute little cherubic AC boys running around in oversized tees.
the place was packed man! good thing we went early. by the time it was 12pm, the heat just got unbearable. the campus is big! but there were so many pple bustling around. i saw mums and dads helping out by manning the stalls. apparently that's the AC spirit and they're nvr short on volunteers to help out in school events.
there was such a variety! komala's villa, muthu's curry, haagen daz, prima deli, grand hyatt's muffins, etc. there were other less 'branded' foods such as the normal popcorn, ice cream and burgers. i actually found a stall selling foochow fishballs and dumplings, just like the ones my grandpa makes. i'd wanted to try an oreo milkshake, but the boy manning the stall said 'auntie, try our ice cream. it's healthy and low-fat.' major mistake! calling me auntie and hinting that i should lose weight is not the way to garner biz man.
as usual, AC events never come cheap. the sheer audacity of charging $5/person per hr to sit down at a nicely set table to enjoy your food just wows you away. all in all, i realise that i quite enjoy going for these AC funfairs. esp collecting the diff AC tees.
thanks qy! you can be my sole sponsor for my AC tee collection. *winkz*

I'm sure the kid was trying to be polite. They must have been briefed to be polite to visitors. But yeah...me being called uncle :(
