chick flicks
it's been so long since i caught a feel-good movie a.k.a. chick flick. mostly coz pple keep telling me that it's a waste of money watching girly flicks in cinemas as there are no sound or visual effects.
however, i'm glad i took time off to go catch The Wedding Date with selvi and BLest amiga today. it was the sorta show that didn't have much of a plot. but the time-tested formula (girl hires social escort to face ex-bf at wedding, whom she hasn't gotten over. but ends up falling for social escort instead and the feeling's mutual) still brought smiles to my face.
the soundtrack was fantastic. they featured quite a few Buble songs, like 'Home' and 'Save the Last Dance for Me'. and any movie that starts off with up-tempo music like The Corrs 'Breathless' can't be all too bad. (that's how i got hooked onto Gilmore Girls. the pilot episode kicked off with Sixpence None The Richer 'There She Goes')
the lead actress, debra messing, looks like the red headed version of jennifer aniston. but it was the male lead that got me. darn cute! dermot mulroney. he acted in My Best Friend's Wedding as the best friend. so cute cute cute cute!!!
heh. ok, enough with the girly gushing. go catch it yourself!

Excellent review! Somebody should hire you to review movies :p

Love the songs. They are first class! Esp love Buble in "Save the last dance for me"! He sounds like a typical MCP in the song, but who cares... it's all in the name of good musical indulgence. *wink*
On a separate note, I wonder if an MCP is usually a lightbulb, a firework or a candle... hehe...

J, you are really blossoming as a all-rounded reporter.
Live reports, food reviews, movie reviews -vying for the most promising young journalist award?
And yeah, Buble's songs are so soothing!
qy: hahah. u wanna hire me? u pay for my shows and i'll tell if they're any good to watch. heh.
anonymous: i don't think it's MCP leh. i like the idea of 'you go have your fun, so long as you come back to me in the end' heheheh. yeah... i wonder what an MCP is... campfire? enjoyable for a while but has to be put out in the end?
cranberry: blossoming can only be used on.... shhh!! how can you use it loosely on me?
darlin' save the last dance for me
Just caught the show today. Oh man.. that was quite a boring show.. almost bored me to tears.. and though the music was good, it could barely save the show :P
