pre-vdae celebrations

stayed over at von t's house last night for some vdae celebrating with the squad. it was lotsa good clean fun as usual. a lot of suaning here and there, topped off with tons of laughter. and in true st nicks fashion, we came prepared with small gifts and notes to celebrate our friendship. we played bridge, dai di and murderer late into the night, with the occasional game of heart attack interspersed, in order to provide us with brainless stimulation. lotsa squeals of laughter resulted.

and then at 4am, we decided to quieten down for a heart-to-heart talk that we've been missing out on for some time. conversation topics ranged from the sombre 'what's the thing you regret most in life?' to the expected 'can everyone tell me what's going on in your love life now??' we learnt a good deal abt each other this morning. and we realised that even though we seldom share secrets, all one has to do is to ask and a truthful answer will be given. we reached the consensus that what we've shared is a good deal deeper than what we would have shared with other friends. and i appreciate that.

i appreciate the girls i've grown up with. i appreciate the easy camaraderie we share. how we talked into the wee hr of 6 in the morn and resumed our conversation at 10am till dinnertime. we shared on the situations we were facing and personal troubles that were bothering us. we talked and we listened, we teased and we sighed, we reminisced and we updated.

i almost forgot abt being caught by the vice principal at mac on a sat, how we were terrified to see her disapproving face on the other side of the glass panel, how we surrendered our nametags, how we had to go back and meekly apologise for blatantly disobeying sch rules.

the friendship forged, the memories made, the secrets shared and the understanding gained... i love my squad!
