a long-time wish, fulfilled
finally got to chill out at aquadisiac indochine. i don't know how many people i've mentioned this to, but everytime i walk past the place, i'll tell myself 'i have to go there someday'. there's something about the place which attracts me, probably a combination of the decor, water's the main theme in the place, so blue's a staple colour. and the atmosphere, very chill out with a live band and all.
it was the usual group of suspects who went again, wl, BLest friend and weibin. we were joined by mj and daniel though. heh. everyone had the promo of the night, which was the carlsberg ice. prob the beer i like best so far. or maybe i'm getting used to the taste. hmm... anyway, all of us had the promo drink except for weibin. the girl's a pretty strict tee-to-taller man. kudos to her for sticking to her 'i don't drink alcohol' stand. binn's one girl who has her own mind, and isn't easily swayed by friends. (trust me man, i know. i've soent countless times begging and pleading with her to join me for something she's not too interested in) unfortunately i'm her opposite. i tend to follow the herd, which isn't too good a characteristic to have. heh.
anyway, it dawned on me that i'm pretty much of an oldies fan when i asked around if any one knew the song 'red, red wine' that the band was playing. and i actually have 2 versions of the UB40 song in my mp3 collection. hahah, man am i out-dated or what?
noticed on fri that my BLest friend kept staring into space. no idea if it's due to boredom or if she's just tired that day. but it happened quite a few times, when we were queuing for dinner, over dinner, during the performance, at aquadisiac, even on the mrt home... hmm...
como cres, mi BLest amiga?
anyway, i believe plans are underway for another chill-out nite at marina mandarin. (yes, faith, i know u read this blog. i hope plans are underway. hahaha) hoping to go back to aquadisiac though. anyone up for it? *winkz*
oh... ASoc dinner wasn't too bad. enjoyed shereen's performance so much! she's such a great diva-sque voice! loved all the songs she performed! heh. the band was called La Contabilidad. oh man... groan... hahaha

well.. actually, the 'i don't drink alcohol' stand stands because, simply, someone is allergic to alcohol. remember who developed rashes and had to visit the cruise doctor?
hahah, man. i just didn't want to bring up that incident, in case she accuses me of constantly teasing her on that point. heh.
